Beauty Access: The Inaugural Event

In October 2024, Beauty Access hosted 20 NYC-based young women, ages 16 to 19, for a day built around one idea: what does it look like when the beauty industry actually shows up for the people it profits from?

Each girl walked into a room lined wall to wall with product. Skincare, makeup, haircare. Curated. Fully stocked. Free. Every person left with two large bags of product, chosen by them, on their own terms.

But the day wasn’t just about product. Beauty Access has always believed that access to the industry means more than access to what it sells. So alongside the shopping experience, we hosted a panel of women who actually work in it, there to show what a career in beauty looks like from the inside.

The panel included Jenna Dalto, Head of PR at MAC Cosmetics; Olivia Hancock, journalist at Byrdie; Lucy Haller, VP of VIP Talent and Influence at Karla Otto; and Natalie Anastasia, Head of Talent at Portrait Management. Four women. Four different seats at a table most of these girls had never been shown the door to.

That combination, real product access paired with real industry exposure, is the format Beauty Access builds around. The event proved the model early. Six creators contributed over 1,000 products to make it happen.

If you’re a brand with product to contribute or a professional who wants to be in the room at the next one, this is what you’d be a part of.
